Remodelling and basement extension of a three storey Victorian terrace home in a Conservation Area in Islington, North London, for a young family with two boys.

Some of the key drivers were to create a feeling of space and generosity immediately upon walking in the front door, given that the existing entrance hall was unusually pinched with nowhere to hang a coat.

Given the house is in a conservation area, increasing the living space is difficult and as such a new basement has been excavated below the existing house to provide a relaxing living area for the family

The project is currently nearing completion on site.
